Business Operations Manager

About the role
The Business Operations Manager will both maximise and oversee our company’s operating capabilities and processes.
The BOM will love the fast pace, being organised and influencing business growth. A typical day will see them reporting to the CEO to execute business strategies, optimise operations and manage our Human Resource initiatives to drive our core values and culture. They will collaborate with the Marketing Manager on strategies and initiatives that maximise customer satisfaction. Utilising their financial acumen, they will manage budgets, financial policies and procedures.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
Operations & Strategy:
- Oversee and improve business operations, systems and processes.
- Develop and execute business strategies for sustainable growth, including agreed KPIs and targets.
- Identify lead generating opportunities to grow revenue.
- Monitor, generate, report and iterate on operational performance and company goals.
- Support marketing operations to record, measure and surpass customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide operational support, systems and advocacy to facilitate successful marketing initiatives.
- Assess and manage the company’s systems and technologies, ensuring the most efficient and optimal practices are in place.
- Drive the company’s vision and core values through operational performance.
- Produce and distribute policies, manuals and procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with management and staff and train employees to ensure smooth implementation of new operations, systems and processes.
Human Resources:
- Find opportunities to further develop the skills and experiences of all staff.
- Develop and manage staff initiatvies that drive the company’s vision and core values.
- Work with the CEO to develop management initiatives that encourage performance and productivity.
- Facilitate the recruitment, inductions, onboarding and offboarding of employees.
- Support and evaluate the performance and productivity of staff, conducting performance reviews, 1:1s and OKR Update Meetings.
- Manage staff matters with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Produce training manuals for new procedures and systems.
Finance:
- Set budgets that are aligned with company goals and approved by the CEO.
- Manage company budgets, recording expenditure and ensuring costs and timings adhere to agreed controls.
- Monitor and analyse financial activity, exploring new efficiencies and opportunities for returns.
- Generate and present financial reports, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Process invoices and manage suppliers in a timely manner.
- Monitor cashflow, accounting procedures and bank processes and identify issues or opportunities for greater efficicenies.
- Negotiate with suppliers on contracts and pricing.

Your story
We’re looking for someone who has mastered the balance between business strategy and culture. For us, they’re hand in hand for sustainable growth.
You’ll have a minimum 5 years in operations, finance, HR or strategy and have worked in the finance industry. You’re backed by a degree in business, economics or an MBA.
You’re proud of your strong understanding of business functions, excellent communications skills and ability to manage complex budgets.
